gagovState of GEORGIA – Officially deemed “Helpline Georgia”, the DBDD* is now promoting their state substance abuse helpline. This call-in phone number provides confidential, round the clock, crisis intervention, information and referral through a toll-free line. People in need may request help for substance abuse plus an array of other problems such as gambling, domestic (family) violence, sexual assault, child abuse. For more information, visit http://www.hodac.org.

*The DBHDD is the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities who provides treatment and support services to people with mental illnesses and addictive diseases, and support to people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. This organization serves people of all ages with the most severe and likely to be long-term conditions.
